Been a bit nervous about trying to learn to knit Brioche? Well here is your chance to dip your toes in while working on the lovely cowl picture above!
This class will teach the basic brioche stitch worked straight (not in the round). It’s suitable for scarves or cowls as shown. Once mastered, it will be a very quick way of making a ribbing without any purl stitches. Brioche stitch creates a very stretchy textured ribbing. Once the basic brioche is learned, it can be the foundation for learning two colored brioche, brioche in the round, brioche with patterns etc.
Bring straight needles for this project, it’s easier that way. Size 9 or 10 required for the yarn shown.
Date: Saturday November 14th, 10am - 11:30pm
Teacher: Brigitte Lang
Cost: $25 (does not inlude supplies)
Supplies:
Size 9 or 10 straight needles
200 yards of a DK/worsted weight yarn - variegated yarn makes it a bit more fun!
Cowl for the class pictured above uses 1 skein Junction Fiber Mill's Making Tracks available in shop or online.
