Need help on your knitting project? If so, these “work/play sessions” are for you! Advance registration is NOT required; however, if you have a particular problem, it would be helpful for you to let us know in advance, so we can do some advance preparation.
Everyone gets stuck sometimes, makes a mistake they can’t figure out, or can’t figure out what the pattern really means, or just needs encouragement to knit a “big, intimidating” project. Help areas include: reading charts and pattern, increases/decreases/gauge issues, cable and texture stitches, buttonholes, mistakes/dropped stitches, and more.
Knitting 9-1-1 is being lead by Sandy Halonen of Monroe, OR. She taught herself to knit at 11 by staring with a pair of mittens?!!! She loves to knit sweaters of all types, loves to experiment with texture, and enjoys spreading her love of knitting.
Sandy is not a specialist in colorwork so if this is an area you need help, we will try to find another resource for you
The sessions are held once a month on the 3rd Friday of the month from 10am - 12pm. Upcoming dates:
October 19th will be the last date offered for 2018!
