Beginning Knitting/Learning to Read Patterns and Knit Textures, Class B, Saturday January 20th, 9:30am - 12:30pm

This is part of the Learn how to knit and love it series of classes! This class is designed for beginning knitters who are comfortable with knitting and purling. All the main supplies needed for class are included! This is a series of classes "A - C" with each class building upon your basic skills. It is totally up to you how many of the series you take!
In this second class B, we will learn to read patterns and the all the basic techniques for knitting textures while working on a sample of different knitted stitch textures! The class will be taught by Sandy Halonen of Monroe, OR, who taught herself to knit when her family moved to Alaska in 1960. Sandy is not only an amazing knitter, but passionate about the craft and enthusiastic about teaching others!
Prerequisites: Be comfortable with the knit and purl stitches!
Homework: If you did not take class A, please come by the shop to pick up your needles and yarn. You will need to have cast on 20 stitches and knit and/or purl 2 inches of a sample. If you can not make it to the shop before, feel free to use worsted weight yarn and size 9 needles of your own to get to this point!
Supplies: Yarn & Needles included. It is suggested that you bring a notebook, and pencil/pen for taking notes.
Cost: $50 which includes yarn and needles (you can come to Ewethful to pick out your yarn color in advance if you’d like!) $25 deposit required to hold your spot. One full week cancellation required for refund. $25 balance is due on/before the day of class. A discount does apply if you sign up for 2 or more classes in the A-C series!
