Handspun by Elise this yarn is Border Cheviot wool. grown from her own flock and processed and spun by hand by Elise. This is a rustic yarn (I say that in all the best ways) and is not next to skin soft for most, but remember all wool has a purpose, and this yarn would be great for a blanket, outer wear sweaters, hats, mittens, etc. These sheep are very well loved and according to Elise really love sourdough bread!
These are all natural white but the shade varies a bit in the different skeins so working them back and forth on a project would be best. They will also take dye wonderfully!!! I put them together into bundles according to yarns that I think will work up well together. If you would like more or less, please send me an email and I can make it happen! Or buy both batches!
As with all handspun yarn the weight will fluctuate throughout the skein. If you haven't worked with handspun yarn before you will be amazed how once worked up those inconsistencies melt into the project.
2-ply yarn. 5 skeins totalling ~ 920 yards. Approximately worsted/Aran weight yarn.
The proceeds from the sale of this skein will be donated to ActBlue to support the Harris/Walz election campaign.
